The Creative Exchange (CX), a partnership between Lancaster and Newcastle Universities and the Royal College of Art, was a knowledge exchange hub that explored the potential of ‘digital public space’ through collaborations between arts & humanities academics, creative industries, and community partners. A group of 21 creative and digital practitioners were at the centre of 90 collaborative projects, using these projects and their practices to conduct PhD research.
As Knowledge Exchange Associate, I coordinated CX at Newcastle University, including:
- Developing and delivering collaborations between academics, and creative and cultural microbusinesses and SMEs.
- Mentoring the 8 Newcastle PhD students in project management and research design across a range of projects.
- Evaluating, documenting, and communicating the impact of the hub.
